Activision Debuts New Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies Trailer, Introduces Expanded Cast

Activision has revealed the first cinematic trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies, offering fans a closer look at the Ashes of the Damned map and, most importantly, the newly expanded crew of characters who will drive this year’s narrative. While the trailer doesn’t feature gameplay, it sets the stage for the story as all eight characters come together for the first time.

A detailed breakdown on the official Call of Duty blog introduces the full lineup of characters set to appear in Zombies mode:

  • Grigori Weaver

  • Dr. Elizabeth Grey

  • Major Mackenzie Carver

  • Maya Aguinaldo

  • Tank Dempsey

  • Takeo Masaki

  • Nikolai Belinski

  • Dr. Edward Richtofen

This expanded roster brings together both familiar fan favorites from past Zombies storylines and entirely new faces, creating a crossover-style team-up for the latest chapter in the undead saga.

Fans won’t have to wait long for more details. Call of Duty Next takes place on September 30, 2025, where more information on Zombies gameplay and other aspects of Black Ops 7 will be shared. The full game, including the Zombies mode, is set to launch on November 14, 2025.

Meanwhile, Activision has also addressed community concerns about franchise consistency, confirming that skins and weapons from Black Ops 6 will not carry forward into Black Ops 7. The company acknowledged fan discussions of an “identity crisis” within the franchise but emphasized that this year’s installment aims to refocus the series.
