Acer Swift Blade 14 Weighs Just 799 g With Intel Core Series 3 and 3K OLED
Acer has expanded its ultraportable laptop lineup with the new Swift Blade 14, an exceptionally lightweight 14 inch notebook weighing just 799 g and measuring as little as 12.9 mm thick. Announced alongside the larger Swift Air 16, the Swift Blade 14 targets users who prioritize mobility without moving entirely into low performance hardware. According to Acer’s official announcement, the laptop combines carbon fiber covers with a magnesium aluminum alloy chassis to reduce weight while maintaining structural rigidity, with Marshmallow White and Marshmallow Blue color options.
Performance comes from Intel Core Series 3 processors, previously known as Wildcat Lake, with configurations ranging from the Core 3 304 through the Core 5 315, Core 5 320 and Core 7 350. Intel designed Core Series 3 as a more mainstream AI PC platform, and Acer pairs the processors with 12 GB of onboard LPDDR5 6400 memory and up to a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel Graphics handle graphics workloads, making the Swift Blade 14 more focused on productivity, media consumption, portable creative tasks and lighter gaming rather than replacing a dedicated gaming notebook.
Display options include a flagship 14 inch 2880 x 1800 OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 90 Hz refresh rate, 400 nit brightness and 100% DCI P3 coverage. Acer will also offer a 1920 x 1200 OLED configuration at 60 Hz with 100% DCI P3 coverage and an IPS version at the same resolution with up to 300 nit brightness. All versions use a 90% screen to body ratio, while the premium configuration features 4.3 mm bezels. Connectivity includes 3 USB Type C ports, a 3.5 mm audio connection, Wi Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, while a physical camera switch is provided for the integrated FHD camera. Power comes from a 50 Wh battery with fast charging support.
The 799 g starting weight is easily the defining feature. Acer is pushing a full Windows 11 laptop substantially below the 1 kg threshold while still offering a 3K OLED display, modern Intel silicon and up to 1 TB of storage. There are compromises, particularly the fixed 12 GB memory configuration and relatively compact 50 Wh battery, but those decisions appear directly connected to Acer’s aggressive weight target. Pricing has not yet been announced, and Acer currently says the Swift Blade 14 will become available in EMEA beginning in December 2026, with specifications, pricing and availability varying between regions.
At 799 g, Acer is pushing ultraportable Windows hardware into territory where every component choice matters. The 12 GB of onboard memory is arguably the most unusual specification and could become restrictive for heavier creative workloads, development environments or demanding multitasking, but the combination of Intel Core Series 3, a 3K OLED option and a chassis below 800 g creates a compelling proposition for users whose laptop spends more time in a backpack than on a desk. For gaming, this is clearly not a replacement for dedicated graphics hardware, but Intel’s newer integrated graphics should still make lighter titles, indie games and cloud gaming practical. Final pricing will ultimately determine whether the Swift Blade 14 becomes an impressive engineering showcase or a genuinely competitive ultraportable.
Would you accept 12 GB of onboard memory and a smaller 50 Wh battery to get a Windows laptop weighing only 799g?
