Soulframe to Open Founders Program on November 25, 2025
Digital Extremes has announced during the latest monthly Soulframe developer stream that the long awaited Founders program will officially open on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The launch will coincide with the twelfth Preludes update, marking a major milestone in the ongoing Pre Alpha development of the studio’s next large scale fantasy action experience. Fans can find all program details on the official Founders page.
Creative Director Geoff Crookes called the Founders initiative a significant next step for both the development team and the community. In a statement shared during the stream, Crookes emphasized the thematic core of the project:
“Founders is the next major step for Soulframe, welcoming anyone to join us in building something truly special. During our Pre Alpha period, Preludes, we have built upon new ideas entirely from scratch and begun to craft a meaningful, strong foundation for a world that offers something important missing from our everyday lives: hope. Soulframe is meant to become a home for redemption, while feeling grounded and patient for everyone who plants their roots here. For those who have long wished to support Soulframe from its roots, this is an invitation to do so from the beginning.”
Players will be able to select from four distinct Founders paths, each representing the game’s core Virtues of Courage, Spirit, and Grace. These include the Wyld Tethren, a valiant melee fighter; the Wyld Oscelda, a spellcaster driven by Spirit; and the Wyld Sirin, a stealthy archer relying on precision and finesse. Each Founders path features an exclusive character Wyld Pact, a signature main weapon and sidearm, an armor set, talismans, dye Hues, bird companion cosmetics, premium currency Arcs, two additional Preludes invite codes, and bonus items such as the “Envoy’s Sphere Sword Skin” for Warframe players.
The Paragon tier serves as the top tier option, containing all rewards from the other Founders paths along with an exclusive Paragon Greatsword, additional Arcs, Armor Bestitching items, and ten Preludes invite codes. Founders will also be able to etch their names permanently in the Eternium Garden by planting their unique Founder flora, leaving a lasting imprint on Soulframe’s shared world.
The twelfth Preludes update launching alongside the Founders program introduces several major gameplay improvements. A new weapon grip type expands build options, while the onboarding sequence for new players has been rebuilt. New players will now begin their journey at Grandfa’s Hut, where they can try all three starting Pacts before committing to one. Exploration has been streamlined with clearer markers for important destinations, along with improved traversal through fast travel using Wevetseeds.
Players will also discover The Cogah, a new elixir that enables challenging the roaming Agari overworld bosses in more difficult encounters. Those who succeed will unlock new rewards. New Totems and Runes have been added as well, allowing Envoys to further specialize weapon categories.
Looking ahead, the developers teased a new mission type called Siege Encounters. These battles take place in fortified strongholds controlled by the Ode. Envoys must clear enemy forces, defeat sub bosses within the fort, and destroy a massive balloon that asserts Ode control over the region. Player actions during these missions will influence a persistent infamy rating that carries into future Siege encounters.
Digital Extremes also announced that Jennifer English, known for her roles as Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3, Latenna in Elden Ring, and Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, will be joining the Soulframe cast as Alora, the Empress of Eldveil.
With the Founders program set to open and a major Pre Alpha update on the way, Soulframe’s development is entering a new phase of collaboration between Digital Extremes and its growing community.
