Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s Fox Hunt Mode Now Live on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S
Konami has officially launched the long-awaited Fox Hunt mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, now available across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The PvP stealth-action mode arrives months after the game’s main release on August 28, 2025, marking the first major post-launch update for the acclaimed remake.
Originally announced prior to the game’s debut, Fox Hunt was delayed to allow the development team more time to fine-tune the multiplayer experience. Today, players can finally dive into this new online mode, which builds upon the tactical stealth mechanics that define Snake Eater, adding a competitive twist to the classic gameplay formula.
Fox Hunt supports up to twelve players and features two distinct game types: Survival Capture and Survival Intrude. In Survival Capture, players compete to collect and secure Kerotan Frogs before rival teams, testing their stealth, precision, and environmental awareness. Meanwhile, Survival Intrude offers a tense, shrinking-play-area scenario reminiscent of a tactical stealth battle royale, where players must outwit and outlast their opponents to emerge as the ultimate Fox Unit operative.
The update gives Metal Gear Solid Delta fans a strong reason to revisit the game after completing its cinematic single-player campaign. While Fox Hunt does not include crossplay functionality, and Konami has confirmed that cross-platform support is unlikely to be added, it remains a welcome addition for those seeking more ways to experience the legendary stealth-action universe in multiplayer form.
Will you be diving back into Metal Gear Solid Delta to test your stealth skills in Fox Hunt mode, or do you prefer to keep Snake’s missions solo?
