1348 Ex Voto Confirms March 12, 2026 Launch on PC and PlayStation 5, Drops Xbox Series S|X Version

Independent publisher Dear Villagers and developer Sedleo have confirmed that 1348 Ex Voto will launch on March 12, 2026 for PC and PlayStation 5, while the previously planned Xbox Series S|X version has been canceled. The studios framing is straightforward: by narrowing the platform scope, the team can concentrate its production bandwidth on delivering the best possible experience on the platforms that remain.

From a content and positioning standpoint, 1348 Ex Voto is pitching itself as a cinematic action adventure grounded in 14th century Italy, with the setting leaning into a historically charged era shaped by political turmoil and the long shadow of the plague. The project is being built by a team of around 15 Italian developers, and it follows Aeta, a young noble training to become a knight errant. When bandits raid her village and kidnap Bianca, Aeta’s journey expands across the Italian peninsula, moving through medieval settlements and fortifications, the Appennino mountains, and even the ruins of classical Rome as she pushes forward to bring Bianca back.

Voice talent is also being positioned as a key pillar for character driven delivery. Aeta is voiced by Alby Baldwin, while Bianca is voiced by Jennifer English, recognized by many players for her role as Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate 3 and Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. That casting choice signals a clear intent to compete in the narrative credibility lane even at a mid tier price point.

On the world building side, Sedleo says it drew heavily from chivalric story tropes, while also investing in on location environment recording across rural Italy to strengthen authenticity and produce a historically plausible mood. Combat is described as cinematic and is inspired by HEMA, with animation supported by trained performance capture actors. Mechanically, Aeta’s martial toolkit revolves around 2 core combat stances for strategic choice in fights, with the ability to switch between one handed and two handed weapon styles depending on the situation. Progression is also tied to exploration through skill books scattered throughout the world, unlocking new combos that let players customize swordplay with different weapon parts and sequence options.

For PC storefronts, 1348 Ex Voto will be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pricing is set at {United States 24.99 dollars: 24.99$} on both PC and PlayStation 5, and official system requirements have not been revealed yet.

With its medieval Italy hook, HEMA inspired combat direction, and a cinematic narrative package priced below the usual premium tier, this one looks like it is aiming to capture players who want a story heavy action adventure with a strong regional identity, without the commitment of an 80 hour open world grind.

What matters more to you here, the historically grounded atmosphere, or the combat system depth and stance switching?
