007 First Light Updates PC System Requirements, Cuts Recommended RAM From 32GB To 16GB And Lowers VRAM Targets

IO Interactive has revised the PC system requirements for 007 First Light after players raised concerns about the initial specification listing, particularly the eye catching 32GB recommended RAM target for 1080p at 60 FPS. With memory pricing still volatile across many regions, that original recommendation sparked real worries that the game might be unusually demanding, or simply mislisted.

The studio has now confirmed the listing was incorrect and has published an official correction on the game’s X account. In its statement, IO Interactive said it updated the requirements after the community flagged inconsistencies, followed by additional testing and a re examination. The developer confirmed the recommended RAM has been corrected from 32GB to 16GB, VRAM values have been updated, and the minimum CPU line has been fixed, with additional performance targets promised closer to launch.

This correction is a material shift in expectations. Dropping the recommended memory target to 16GB brings 007 First Light back in line with what most current gaming PCs are running today, and the revised 8GB recommended VRAM target is significantly more approachable than the earlier 12GB callout. The CPU line correction also matters for clarity, since the earlier list included an unusual recommended Intel Core i3 13500 reference, while the updated version now points to Intel Core i5 13500.

IO Interactive has also signaled that this is not the final word on performance guidance, with more targets coming closer to launch. For players planning upgrades, the smart move is to treat this as the baseline and wait for those additional targets before making any major purchasing decisions.

007 First Light is currently set to launch on May 27, 2026 on PC and consoles.

What do you want IO Interactive to publish next, 1440p and 4K targets, ray tracing guidance, or upscaling settings like DLSS and FSR recommendations?
