Tales of Series Remasters Will Arrive Consistently, Confirms Series Producer
Fans of Bandai Namco’s beloved Tales of JRPG series have exciting news to celebrate: consistent remasters of older titles are officially in the works. During the Tales of Series 30th Anniversary Project event, series producer Yusuke Tomizawa confirmed that the company is committed to releasing remasters on a regular schedule moving forward.
Tomizawa revealed that Bandai Namco has established a dedicated “Remastered Project” development line to ensure these releases stay on track. While Tales of Graces f Remastered is already set to launch on PC and consoles next month, this new initiative signals that even more classic titles will soon be accessible on modern platforms.
This announcement is particularly welcome news for fans, as many Tales of games remain stuck on legacy consoles like the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. With Bandai Namco’s renewed focus, more entries will likely escape the confines of outdated hardware and find new life for modern audiences.
In the meantime, Tales of enthusiasts have even more to look forward to. A dedicated team, Life Bottle Production, is launching an English translation patch for Tales of Rebirth. Originally released as a 2D entry on the PlayStation 2, Rebirth never received an official localization and is unlikely to see a remaster. The patch, however, allows fans to experience this classic entry for the first time in English.
The Tales of series continues to be a cornerstone of the JRPG genre, with its most recent entry, Tales of Arise, launching in 2021 to widespread praise. With consistent remasters on the way, it’s a great time to be a Tales of fan.
