Tactical RPG Solasta II Sets Early Access Debut for Q1 2026

During the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, French developer Tactical Adventures officially announced that Solasta II will enter Early Access on PC in Q1 2026 via Steam. The studio confirmed a slight delay from its initial 2025 launch target, with pricing and the exact Early Access duration yet to be disclosed.

Solasta II is the direct sequel to the acclaimed 2021 turn-based tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister, and it marks a significant leap forward in presentation. Unlike the first title, which was powered by Unity, Solasta II now runs on Unreal Engine 5, offering a much more visually immersive experience. A two-hour demo is already available on Steam, showcasing the game’s new graphics and environments. However, this upgrade may come at the cost of modding flexibility, as the first game’s level editor was a major contributor to its longevity and community creativity.

Still built upon the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 ruleset, Solasta II will take players on a new journey driven by family legacy across the continent of Neokos, a mysterious land corrupted by the ancient Shadwyn, voiced by Amelia Tyler, best known as the narrator of Baldur’s Gate 3. Players can expect tactical combat, branching storylines, and a return to dice-based decision-making that stays faithful to its tabletop roots.

Tactical Adventures stated that Solasta II will continue to deliver authentic tabletop-inspired gameplay while expanding exploration and freedom. This time, players will roam freely across Neokos, uncovering the world as they travel — a notable change from the more linear progression of the first game. The studio will further detail these new features, including the in-game overworld travel system, during a Community Stream on October 28 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM CET on YouTube and Twitch.
