Just in Time for Halloween, Cronos: The New Dawn Gets a Free Demo on PC
Horror fans have a treat this Halloween season as Bloober Team has released a free demo for its latest title, Cronos: The New Dawn. The demo is now available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, arriving alongside a seasonal sale on all major platforms to celebrate the spooky season.
The newly released demo offers around 30 minutes of gameplay, featuring the opening mission of the full game. Players can experience Cronos: The New Dawn’s eerie atmosphere, introductory combat mechanics, and the unsettling transformations of its monstrous enemies. In true Bloober Team fashion, the demo blends psychological tension with grotesque body horror, continuing the studio’s tradition of atmospheric storytelling seen in titles like The Medium and Silent Hill 2 Remake.
One of the best features of the demo is that progress carries over into the full game. This means that if players decide to purchase Cronos: The New Dawn after trying the demo, they can pick up right where they left off without replaying any sections.
Unfortunately, console players will have to wait a little longer, as the demo is currently exclusive to PC. However, Bloober Team confirmed that Cronos: The New Dawn is now 15% off across all major digital storefronts, including Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store (starting October 22), Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, and GOG.
A trailer for the demo is also available for viewing on YouTube, showcasing the game’s dark visuals and monstrous transformations.
Set in a collapsing world filled with nightmarish creatures and remnants of lost civilizations, Cronos: The New Dawn challenges players to face their fears and survive against impossible odds. The short demo offers just a glimpse of what’s to come but promises an intense, cinematic horror experience for fans of Bloober Team’s signature psychological approach.
Have you tried the demo yet, or will you wait until Halloween night to dive in? Let us know what you think.
