Prologue: Go Wayback! Open Beta Now Live, Early Access Coming Later in 2025
PUBG Productions’ upcoming hardcore survival title, Prologue: Go Wayback!, has officially entered open beta, giving players the most extensive hands-on experience with the game yet. The studio confirmed that while this is not the full release, the early access launch remains scheduled for later in 2025.
Brendan Greene, better known as PlayerUnknown, detailed the studio’s decision in a press release, stating:
“After running playtests with our Discord community over the last 6 months, and receiving some fantastic feedback, we decided to take the time to add more ways to explore our generated worlds based on our community’s suggestions. We have a great survival experience, with millions of maps for players to explore in the Open Beta, and over the coming months leading up to our Early Access launch, we plan to add more features to further customize your preferred way to play.”
The open beta features procedurally generated worlds, offering millions of possible maps for exploration. Players can expect classic survival gameplay focused on exploration, resource gathering, and adapting to the game’s challenging environments. Over the next few months, PUBG Productions plans to integrate more customization options and gameplay systems based on ongoing community feedback.
While Prologue: Go Wayback! is still evolving, the open beta provides a deep look at the game’s wilderness survival mechanics ahead of its early access release later this year.
Are you jumping into the open beta now, or will you wait for the early access launch to fully dive into Prologue: Go Wayback!?
