PowerColor Adds Hellhound and Reaper Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs to Its Upcoming RDNA 4 Lineup

PowerColor has quietly added two more custom Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs to its official website, confirming the existence of the Hellhound and Reaper models alongside the previously unveiled Red Devil edition. While these latest additions have been teased for some time, PowerColor’s site listing offers the most detailed look yet at the design and cooling configurations for both RDNA 4 cards. Unfortunately, like the Red Devil edition, neither model currently reveals any official specifications, as AMD has yet to finalize the RX 9070 XT’s clock speeds or other performance metrics.

The Hellhound RX 9070 XT uses a minimalist three-fan layout over a decently sized heatsink and stands out with the trademark Hellhound branding on two of the fans. The central fan features a fresh PowerColor logo that differs from older Hellhound offerings like the RX 7900 XTX. According to the images, the shroud occupies around 2.5 slots and provides three DisplayPort outputs plus a single HDMI port.

On the other hand, the Reaper RX 9070 XT adopts a similarly understated shroud with rounder edges, also sporting a triple-fan arrangement. The design appears near-identical in terms of slot size and port layout, which likewise includes three DisplayPort connectors and one HDMI. Although no clock speeds or performance stats have been shared, the difference between the Hellhound and Reaper variants will likely come down to factory boost frequencies. Enthusiasts can expect the Hellhound series to offer a slightly higher clock out of the box, judging by PowerColor’s past product lineups.

Despite the early website appearance, the RX 9070 XT series isn’t slated for a proper launch until March. AMD has acknowledged that it still needs time to optimize the software stack and finalize performance targets for these RDNA 4 GPUs—hence the delayed release. For now, those curious about the Hellhound and Reaper models can only view the designs on PowerColor’s website as a preview of what’s to come. When AMD officially unveils the RX 9070 XT family, more specifics—like core counts, memory speeds, and pricing—will likely follow, giving buyers a clearer picture of each custom card’s capabilities.

Do these new Hellhound and Reaper models tempt you toward an RX 9070 XT upgrade, or will you wait until AMD fully reveals the specs? Share your thoughts on PowerColor’s design approach and whether you’re ready to switch to RDNA 4.
