PlayStation Offers One Hundred Dollar Discounts on PS5 and PS VR2 for Black Friday

PlayStation has officially revealed its Black Friday sales as the holiday shopping period prepares to launch across North America. The promotion begins Friday, November 21 and continues through December 1, featuring one of the strongest discount lineups Sony has offered in recent years, including one hundred dollars off the price of a new PlayStation 5 console and the PlayStation VR2 headset.

On the hardware front, the headline offers are the one hundred dollar discounts on both PS5 and PS VR2. Additional accessory savings include twenty dollars off the Pulse Elite wireless headset and thirty dollars off the Pulse Explore earbuds. The DualSense controller will also be available at twenty dollars off, while the higher end DualSense Edge will receive a thirty dollar discount. Sony is also discounting its accessibility focused Access controller by twenty dollars, and the PlayStation Portal remote player will receive the same twenty dollar reduction.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will also benefit from substantial price cuts. All three PS Plus membership tiers will receive thirty three percent off annual subscriptions. For players already in the middle of an active plan, Sony will allow thirty three percent off the remaining cost when upgrading from the existing tier to either the Extra or Premium tier.

Fans of official PlayStation merchandise will see a significant sixty percent discount across the PlayStation Gear Store in a sitewide promotion. Finally, once the event begins, the PlayStation Store will feature hundreds of discounted PS5 and PS4 titles as part of Sony’s broad digital sale.

The combination of console discounts, service upgrades, and wide ranging accessory promotions positions this Black Friday as a major opportunity for players looking to enter the PlayStation ecosystem or upgrade their existing setup.
