Pathologic 3 Arrives on PC in January 2026, Steam Next Fest Demo Available Now

Publisher HyperTrain Digital and developer Ice-Pick Lodge have officially announced that Pathologic 3 will launch on PC on January 9, 2026. For those eager to get a taste of the eerie and philosophical world before release, a playable demo is available now as part of Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 7 to October 20, 2025.

In a statement on the game’s Steam page, Ice-Pick Lodge assured fans that the release date is “nailed down, screwed in, wrapped in commitments, and it isn’t moving,” signaling a confident and unshakable schedule after a long period of anticipation.

Alongside the announcement, the studio unveiled a new trailer showcasing the unsettling yet captivating atmosphere of Pathologic 3, highlighting the game’s layered narrative and surreal tone that fans of the series have come to expect.

The demo features the game’s opening chapter, where Daniil Dankovsky arrives in the City-on-Gorkhon, on a quest to find an immortal man, a mystery that quickly spirals into the psychological and existential horror for which the series is known.

Originally announced in October 2024 with a 2025 release window, Pathologic 3 just narrowly misses that target by nine days, pushing its debut into early 2026. Still, fans can take solace in the demo’s availability, offering a first glimpse into the haunting journey ahead.

The game joins other Steam Next Fest highlights, including Ash and Steel and the Lovecraftian survival horror shooter Beneath, all available to try during the event.

What do you think of Ice-Pick Lodge’s approach to psychological storytelling? Are you diving into the demo, or saving yourself for the full release in January?
