Fortnite X The Simpsons Crossover Brings Players to Springfield Island in Chapter 6 Season 5

Epic Games has officially launched the long-awaited Fortnite X The Simpsons crossover, kicking off Chapter 6, Season 5 with a massive update that drops players straight into Springfield Island. The new location brings a fast-paced, nostalgia-filled experience that developers describe as a “return to basics” for Fortnite Battle Royale.

As with every new season, the update includes themed gameplay content, cosmetics, and fresh events released on a weekly schedule. This collaboration also introduces an unprecedented creative twist: each week, Fortnite will debut a new The Simpsons animated short, co-produced by Gracie Films and Epic Games.

Players can watch the shorts directly inside Fortnite (via the Quests tab under Animated Shorts), on Epic’s official social channels, and on Disney+. The full schedule for the animated shorts includes:

November 1: “Apocalypse D’Oh”
November 10: “Sugar High”
November 17: “Multiplidiocy”
November 24: “The Incredible Bulk”

Each short will coincide with map updates, limited-time events, and Simpsons-themed gameplay features, keeping the crossover dynamic throughout the season.

The Springfield Battle Pass introduces a lineup of The Simpsons characters as premium outfits, including Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Ned Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and Springfielder Peely. Players can also explore the Delulu mode this weekend, which features new Simpsons-themed weapons and chaotic gameplay mechanics where betrayal might be just around the corner.

For competitive players, Fortnite Battle Royale will host several Springfield tournaments, including the Victory Cups, where participants earn real cash rewards for every Victory Royale achieved in Round 2.

This update also coincides with the debut of Fortnite Sidekicks, a new pet cosmetic category. The first companion, Peels, is available now in the in-game shop, with additional Sidekicks coming on Friday, November 7.

The crossover doesn’t stop at Fortnite. Epic Games has extended the Springfield invasion to Rocket League, where players can complete limited-time challenges from now through November 17 to unlock exclusive rewards inspired by The Simpsons. These include the Blinky Topper, Homer’s Hedges Player Banner, and Waste Wheels, plus an unlimited XP challenge that grants 20,000 XP per completion.

The Fortnite X The Simpsons crossover stands as one of the most ambitious collaborations yet, merging Springfield’s humor and style with Fortnite’s constantly evolving universe. With weekly animated shorts, themed events, and fresh cosmetics, players have plenty to look forward to as this season unfolds.

What’s the first thing you’re doing when you drop into Springfield Island? Exploring the Simpsons’ house or jumping straight into the Delulu mode?
