Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Adds Lagiacrus and Seregios, Capcom Reveals More Updates Through September

During Capcom’s Spotlight Showcase 2025 event, the studio put the spotlight squarely on Monster Hunter Wilds—its flagship title for the year—by revealing the contents of its second free title update. This major content drop, launching today, June 30, brings the return of two fan-favorite monsters: Lagiacrus and Seregios, making their next-gen debuts with enhanced mechanics and visual updates.

Two Titans Return to the Hunt

The centerpiece of Title Update 2 is the return of Lagiacrus, the iconic sea serpent originally introduced in Monster Hunter Tri, and Seregios, the agile, blade-scale wyvern from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Each monster has been redesigned to fully utilize the power of current-generation hardware, offering new attack patterns and immersive interactions within Monster Hunter Wilds’ dynamic open environments.

These additions continue Capcom’s tradition of enriching Wilds with powerful legacy monsters, ensuring ongoing engagement for veteran players while introducing newcomers to some of the series’ most celebrated foes.

Upcoming Seasonal and Content Roadmap

Capcom has also outlined the next steps in Monster Hunter Wilds’ post-launch roadmap, revealing several major updates through September:

  • Seasonal Summer Event (July 23 – August 6)
A limited-time seasonal celebration featuring themed quests, exclusive layered armor, and festive hunts will bring new incentives for active players.

  • Arch-Tempered Uth Duna Arrives (July 30 – August 20)
A high-difficulty challenge featuring a powered-up version of Uth Duna. Completing this limited-time event will unlock exclusive rewards and a new equipment set designed for endgame hunters.

  • Fender Guitar Collaboration (August 27)
Capcom teases a Fender crossover, allowing players to shred stylishly between hunts. Though the exact gameplay details remain under wraps, expect themed cosmetic gear and possibly unique musical emotes or instruments tied to this collaboration.

  • Free Title Update 3 (Late September 2025)
Capcom confirmed the next free update will drop in late September, though no additional details were revealed at the Showcase. Based on previous update patterns, players can expect new monsters, equipment, and possibly further collaborations.
