Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Rumored to Launch on PlayStation 5 This November

One of Microsoft’s most celebrated franchises may soon land on Sony’s hardware. According to a new report from Polish publication PPE, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set to release on PlayStation 5 this November, marking another major Xbox exclusive crossing over to rival platforms.

The report states that the PS5 version will be available both digitally through the PlayStation Network and at retail in physical form. No additional details were provided regarding platform-specific features or performance, but if accurate, this would be the first time the long-running flight simulation series officially lands on a PlayStation console.

While Microsoft has yet to confirm the PS5 release, the rumor aligns with recent leaks suggesting that Flight Simulator 2024 is part of a larger wave of Xbox exclusives making their way to other platforms. Among these are Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Starfield, the latter reportedly delayed to 2026 for its PlayStation debut.

This strategy has already proven successful: games such as Sea of Thieves, Grounded, and Forza Horizon 5 have all made the jump to PlayStation 5, and in some cases, have achieved remarkable sales milestones. Notably, Forza Horizon 5 is currently the best-selling PS5 title of 2025, a striking achievement for a game long available on Xbox and PC.

With the Tokyo Game Show 2025 fast approaching, it’s possible Microsoft will use the event to confirm the PS5 release of Flight Simulator 2024 alongside other multiplatform announcements. Given the franchise’s global appeal and reputation for technical excellence, such a reveal would likely draw significant attention from both Xbox and PlayStation audiences.

For now, the news remains unconfirmed, but if the report proves accurate, November could mark a historic expansion for one of the industry’s most iconic simulation titles.
