Metal Eden Confirmed for September 2 Launch on PC and Consoles After Demo Feedback Delay

Developer Reikon Games and publisher Deep Silver have officially announced a revised release date for their highly anticipated sci-fi FPS, Metal Eden. The game is now slated to launch on September 2, 2025, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Originally scheduled for release on May 6, 2025, Metal Eden was delayed following the release of a public demo. The demo went live in early April and served as an opportunity for Reikon to collect player feedback and identify key areas for improvement. Less than two weeks after the demo’s debut, Reikon Games postponed the launch and shifted the window to summer 2025, citing a strong desire to refine the player experience based on the input received.

At the time, the developers stated:

“We saw some clear areas where we can improve. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played the demo and took the time to share their thoughts with us.”

Now, nearly four months later, Reikon is confident that the final version of Metal Eden reflects significant upgrades and polish, and the new launch date positions the title for a strong fall debut. The latest official trailer showcases fast-paced combat, enhanced visual fidelity, and cinematic storytelling set in a dystopian future dominated by synthetic lifeforms and corporate control.

Metal Eden blends first-person action mechanics with deep world-building and a dark sci-fi aesthetic, reminiscent of DOOM Eternal, Observer, and Ghostrunner a familiar zone for Reikon Games, known for their previous hit RUINER. With the September release date now locked, fans will soon be able to dive into a brutal cybernetic world that has been carefully tuned for both challenge and immersion.

Will you be jumping into the chaos of Metal Eden on day one? What improvements did you hope to see after the demo?
