La Quimera: A New Co-Op Sci-Fi FPS from Reburn, Formed by Former 4A Games Ukraine Staff
Reburn, a studio established by former employees of the Ukrainian office of 4A Games, has announced its latest project—a cooperative sci-fi first-person shooter titled La Quimera. This new title marks a fresh start for the team, which has rebranded from 4A Games Ukraine to Reburn, while building on their legacy of narrative-driven shooter experiences.
Set in a sprawling Latin American megalopolis interspersed with lush jungle environments, La Quimera follows the journey of a down-on-his-luck PMC soldier outfitted with a customizable exosuit, battling rival factions amidst a backdrop that combines elements of Latin American folklore with advanced futuristic technology. The game supports both single-player and co-op modes, accommodating up to three players.
In a statement, founder and CEO Dmytro Lymar expressed the studio’s excitement:
"Reburn is proud to introduce La Quimera, which draws upon our success crafting narrative-driven shooter games for the Metro series. We look forward to sharing this mysterious new world with players and hope they revel in suiting up to join the fight."
A gameplay trailer showcasing the game’s innovative mechanics, detailed environments, and dynamic combat was recently shared and can be viewed here
Although no official release date has been announced yet, Reburn has indicated that more details about La Quimera will be revealed in the coming months. The studio is leveraging its heritage from the 4A Games legacy while charting a new path with this original IP.
