Konami Schedules Silent Hill Transmission for Tonight, Airing Shortly After PlayStation State of Play

Sony and PlayStation are set to host the first State of Play of 2026 today, February 12, 2026, airing at 2:00 PM PT, 5:00 PM ET, and 10:00 PM BT. Konami has now confirmed this will not be the only major showcase on the calendar tonight. The publisher revealed a Silent Hill Transmission scheduled for the same evening, promising news on what is next for the Silent Hill franchise and explicitly calling out Silent Hill: Townfall as part of the program.

Konami shared the announcement via the official Silent Hill social channels, positioning the Transmission as a franchise update event featuring the latest updates from the Silent Hill series. The Silent Hill Transmission will premiere at 4:00 PM PT and 7:00 PM ET on Thursday, and at 12:00 AM BT on Friday, February 13, placing it roughly an hour after State of Play is expected to conclude.

Silent Hill: Townfall remains the most immediate point of interest because it still lacks an official release date or release window. Neither Konami nor Annapurna Interactive has publicly locked timing, but there is a notable date floating in the ecosystem: a March 26, 2026 listing that appeared through a retail page in November 2025. That date could represent a real launch target, or it could have been a placeholder, but it lines up with the reality that Townfall has been in development for years and reportedly pushed through a major internal shake up period at Annapurna. If Konami is aiming to give Townfall a clear runway, this Transmission is the ideal venue to turn speculation into a firm timeline.

This event also lands inside a broader strategic push. Konami has been open about its desire to sustain a cadence of launching a Silent Hill game every year, building on the momentum of Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024 and the strong commercial performance attributed to last year’s Silent Hill f. If the company is serious about keeping that annual output, then Townfall needs to move from concept level mystery to product level clarity, and a Transmission immediately after a high traffic PlayStation showcase is a high leverage way to do it.

There is also a second narrative thread that could surface tonight: Bloober Team’s rumored work on a remake of the original Silent Hill. With reporting pointing to 2027 for that project, it may be early for a full reveal, but not too early for a short tease, especially if Konami wants to keep the franchise roadmap visible in the market. Even if the Transmission stays locked on Townfall, the framing of latest updates from the Silent Hill series gives Konami room to set expectations across multiple projects.

The timing is what makes tonight particularly interesting from an industry playbook perspective. A State of Play trailer placement for Townfall, followed by a dedicated Konami segment that goes deeper on gameplay, tone, and structure, would be a clean one two punch: broad reach first, then high intent deep dive for core horror fans. Between State of Play, the DICE Awards, and now Silent Hill Transmission, February 12, 2026 is shaping up to be a dense showcase night for anyone tracking premium game pipelines.

If Townfall appears in State of Play first, would you rather Konami save gameplay for the Transmission, or show a longer gameplay segment immediately during the PlayStation showcase?
