JNG Studio Reveals Totopia, a Free To Play Cozy Party Game With Its First Beta Launching Next Month

JNG Studio has officially revealed that Project ATOM, its previously announced cozy free to play party platformer, is now called Totopia. The announcement was made during the ID@Xbox Spring Showcase 2026, where the studio also confirmed that the game’s first public beta playtest will begin on May 7, 2026.

Totopia is positioning itself as a colorful and accessible multiplayer experience that mixes party platforming, life simulation, home decoration, social interaction, and chaotic mini game style gameplay. The easiest comparison is a blend of Fall Guys style obstacle courses with cozy life sim mechanics, giving players the chance to compete through bright platforming challenges, then return to a personal space where they can decorate a cottage, relax, fish, and interact with characters across the world.

JNG Studio also released a new gameplay trailer, which can be watched through the official Totopia reveal trailer. The footage highlights the game’s cartoon visual direction, playful movement, colorful stages, and its attempt to combine competitive party game energy with a softer cozy game loop. Instead of only focusing on obstacle courses, Totopia appears to be building a broader social playground where players can shift between fast paced challenges and more relaxed activities.

The first public beta playtest will run from May 7, 2026 to May 18, 2026. Players interested in joining can sign up now through the game’s official Steam page. While the beta is currently focused on PC access through Steam, JNG Studio has confirmed that Totopia is also planned for PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Android, giving the game a wide platform strategy across console, PC, and mobile.

Totopia will feature more than 100 maps, giving players a large variety of stages to explore, compete in, and master. These maps will include solo and cooperative trials, allowing players to show off their platforming skills either alone or with others. Like many free to play games, rewards earned through gameplay can be used to unlock cosmetics, both for the player character and for their home within Totopia.

However, the game is not limited to party platforming. JNG Studio is also including additional gameplay modes that appear to move closer to third person action, along with sections involving naval combat. This gives Totopia a more varied structure than a standard obstacle course party game. The studio seems to be building a flexible social world where players can bounce between chaotic challenges, action focused activities, and quieter cozy systems.

The cozy side of Totopia is also a major part of its identity. Players will be able to design and decorate their homes, go fishing, spend time in the world, and speak with the characters they meet. This gives the game a broader appeal, especially for players who enjoy games that mix multiplayer interaction with personal expression and casual progression.

At the moment, Totopia does not have a full release date. Still, with the first public beta scheduled for May 2026 and confirmed plans for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Android, JNG Studio is clearly preparing the game for a broad audience. If the studio can balance chaotic party gameplay with satisfying cozy progression, Totopia could become an interesting new entry in the growing space of social free to play games.

For players who enjoy bright platforming challenges, customizable homes, casual social features, and multiplayer chaos, Totopia may be worth watching closely as its beta approaches.

Will Totopia’s mix of party platforming and cozy life sim systems make it stand out from other free to play multiplayer games?
