inZOI Coming to PS5 in Early 2026, Xbox Version Still Under Consideration

Krafton’s internal developer inZOI Studio has confirmed that its namesake life simulation title will officially launch on PlayStation 5 in early 2026. The announcement, shared via the game’s official X account and the PlayStation Store page, also revealed that an Xbox version is still under consideration but has yet to be confirmed.

“We’re excited to announce that inZOI is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 (PS5) in 2026. Our team is working hard to bring you the best possible experience on PS5. An Xbox release is also under consideration, but not yet confirmed,” the statement reads. “The official release date and additional details will be shared at a later time.”

inZOI first debuted on Steam Early Access on March 28, quickly becoming a commercial success by selling over one million copies within its first week. Despite this strong start, recent user feedback has been more cautious. Steam currently shows a “Mixed” rating, with only 47% of the 618 reviews left in the past month being positive. Many players have expressed concerns about the lack of content and features, suggesting that the title requires significant expansion before its full release.

Given Sony’s typical policy of not releasing early access games on its consoles, the early 2026 PS5 launch strongly suggests that inZOI’s 1.0 release is planned for the same period, potentially March 2026 to align with its one-year early access roadmap. However, if the team chooses to address community feedback thoroughly, a later date remains possible.

In June, inZOI received a notable update with the release of its official Modkit, enabling players to create and share user-generated content (UGC) via a free tool available on the Epic Games Store. Whether this feature will be supported on PlayStation 5 remains uncertain, as consoles typically have stricter restrictions on modding compared to PC platforms.

With the console launch window now public, all eyes will be on inZOI Studio to see how it balances community expectations, early access development, and the transition to full release.

Do you think inZOI should take more time in early access to address content concerns, or push ahead for a March 2026 full launch?
