Gothic Remake Pre Orders Go Live Ahead of the June 5 Launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S

THQ Nordic has officially opened pre orders for Gothic Remake, with the long awaited RPG now locked in for release on June 5, 2026 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher confirmed the release date and the start of pre orders through its official announcement, marking a major milestone for one of the most closely watched RPG revivals in the European role playing space.

On PC, the game is priced at 49.99€, and THQ Nordic says this version includes the official soundtrack as a pre order bonus. That soundtrack is once again handled by Kai Rosenkranz, whose return gives the remake another direct link to the legacy of the original game. On consoles, Gothic Remake is priced at 59.99€, and pre orders include Gothic Classic as a free bonus available immediately, giving console players a direct path back to the game that started the franchise.

For collectors, THQ Nordic is also continuing pre orders for the Collector’s Edition through its official store. The package is listed at 199.99€ and includes the game, the original soundtrack, a 34 x 24 cm Sleeper wall mask, a genuine leather wristband, and a genuine leather notebook. THQ Nordic also notes that PC Collector’s Edition orders receive a steelbook while stock lasts, while PS5 and Xbox Series X orders include a physical copy of Gothic Classic.

Beyond the edition details, the remake itself continues to look like a substantial modernization rather than a simple visual overhaul. On the official game site, THQ Nordic highlights a dynamic living world where NPCs follow daily routines such as working, eating, sleeping, and fighting to survive, alongside a modernized combat system designed to update the core feel of the original. The studio is also positioning the project as a faithful remake that preserves the identity of the 2001 classic while rebuilding it for a modern audience.

That matters because the project has been framed for a long time as more than a nostalgia play. Developed by Alkimia Interactive, the remake has evolved through community feedback, teaser material, and its earlier playable prologue, and it now appears aimed at delivering a fuller, more reactive version of the Colony with stronger world simulation and more modern combat readability. For long time Gothic fans, the promise is authenticity with meaningful systemic upgrades. For newer players, this may end up being the most accessible way to finally understand why the original game still carries so much cult status in RPG circles. This last point is an editorial inference based on the official positioning and feature set rather than a direct quoted claim.

THQ Nordic’s current PC store listings also show that the Nyras Prologue demo remains available, giving interested players another chance to sample the tone and technical direction of the remake before launch.

As for hardware demands, the official Steam page confirms that Gothic Remake is targeting low end systems:

For RPG fans, Gothic Remake is shaping up to be one of the more interesting June launches, especially for players who want something darker, rougher, and more systems driven than the average modern fantasy release. Between the soundtrack bonus on PC, the inclusion of Gothic Classic on consoles, and the premium Collector’s Edition still on the table, THQ Nordic is clearly packaging this release as both a revival and a celebration of the franchise’s history.

Will you be jumping into Gothic Remake on day 1, or are you planning to test the Nyras Prologue first before deciding?
