Ghost of Yotei Rated in Taiwan and Confirmed for October 2 Worldwide Release with New Trailer and Collector’s Edition Details
The highly anticipated Ghost of Yotei has officially been rated in Taiwan, a clear indicator that the release of the next installment in Sucker Punch’s acclaimed samurai action series is on the horizon. Now, a brand-new trailer has confirmed that Ghost of Yotei will launch globally on October 2, 2025, for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles.

Game Overview
Originally announced last year, Ghost of Yotei introduces players to Atsu, a new protagonist navigating a darker, more politically fragmented feudal Japan. Building upon the open-world formula and narrative depth of Ghost of Tsushima, the sequel introduces new mechanics and weapons such as the odachi, kusarigama, and dual katanas, while expanding stealth, combat fluidity, and environmental traversal.
Rated recently in Taiwan for violence, tobacco/alcohol use, and inappropriate language, Ghost of Yotei follows the same mature thematic profile as its predecessor. As reported by Gematsu the Taiwanese rating, often a precursor to final release announcements, aligns with today's reveal and reflects the game’s readiness for launch.
While no PC version has been announced, given the history of PlayStation titles reaching PC post-launch, it’s likely only a matter of time before Ghost of Yotei makes its way to other platforms.
