ExeKiller Finds a New Home at 505 Games After Null Games Exits Publishing

ExeKiller has secured a new publishing partner in 505 Games, giving Paradark Studio additional support as development continues on its distinctive retro futuristic western action game. The Polish studio confirmed the agreement through the game’s Steam page, where ExeKiller is still listed for PC without a confirmed release date. The project was previously attached to Null Games, but Paradark says its former partner decided to step away from game publishing, leaving the team to search for a new home.

"The road to release isn't always straightforward. As some of you may remember, ExeKiller was originally announced with a different publishing partner. After they decided to step away from game publishing, we took the time to find the right home for ExeKiller."
— Paradark Studio.

The new agreement appears to provide the stability the project needed after several years in development. Paradark describes the partnership as a major milestone that brings more resources, more support, and more opportunities to complete its vision without changing the team behind the game.

"Most importantly, we're still the same team making the game you've been following. The world, the story, the investigations, the choices, and the bounty hunting experience remain at the heart of ExeKiller."
— Paradark Studio.

ExeKiller is a single player first person action adventure set in an alternate post apocalyptic version of America. Players control Denzel Fenix, a corporate bounty hunter working for Helion, a powerful organization operating from a massive structure built above the ruins of New York.

The world combines desolate western landscapes with retro futuristic technology, flying vehicles, energy weapons, abandoned settlements, and corporate control. Its visual identity has often drawn comparisons with Blade Runner and Cyberpunk 2077, but the desert environments, bounty hunting structure, and western influences give it a character of its own.

Gameplay is expected to combine shooting, exploration, driving, stealth, investigations, dialogue choices, and character progression. Paradark has repeatedly emphasized that decisions will affect the story, relationships, and possible outcomes, making player choice central to the experience rather than a secondary feature.

The publishing agreement does not reveal when new gameplay or a release window will be announced. However, 505 Games can now support marketing, production, distribution, testing, and other areas that can be difficult for a smaller independent studio to manage alone. The partnership also arrives as 505 Games and parent company Digital Bros continue investing in distinctive action games, showing that the group remains interested in expanding its portfolio through recognizable projects with strong long term potential.

The most important part of the announcement is that Paradark remains together and continues developing the same version of ExeKiller that attracted attention in the first place. A new publisher can easily bring changes in scope or direction, but the studio is clearly trying to reassure players that its world, characters, investigations, and choice driven design remain intact.

ExeKiller still has much to prove, particularly after such a long development period and the absence of a release window. Even so, joining 505 Games gives the project a stronger chance of reaching completion and returning with a more consistent marketing campaign.

The game remains one of the more unusual science fiction projects currently listed on Steam. Its combination of western isolation, corporate dystopia, bounty hunting, and retro technology has enough personality to stand out, provided Paradark can turn its strong concept into a polished final release.

Has the new 505 Games publishing deal increased your confidence in ExeKiller, or are you waiting for new gameplay and a release date?
