Disciples: Domination Brings Dark Fantasy Turn-Based Strategy Back in 2026
Kalypso Media has officially announced Disciples: Domination, the next chapter in the acclaimed dark fantasy turn-based strategy RPG franchise. Serving as a direct sequel to 2021’s Disciples: Liberation (currently 65% off on Steam), the new installment marks a change in development teams — moving from Canadian studio Frima Studio to French developer Artefacts Studio.
Set fifteen years after the events of Liberation, Disciples: Domination places players on Queen Avyanna’s throne as she struggles to hold together a kingdom on the brink of collapse. Once the liberator who freed Nevendaar from the gods’ tyrannical rule, Avyanna now finds herself haunted by fear, doubt, and visions of becoming the very monster she once fought against. As an unknown force spreads chaos and madness across the realm, former allies turn away, and the stability of her reign unravels.
Players will guide Avyanna through a web of political intrigue, betrayal, and supernatural threats, where every decision will shape the fate of the empire — either towards salvation or ruin. Throughout the journey, players will recruit companions who offer counsel on crucial choices, influencing faction reputation and shaping how the world responds to the Queen’s rule.
Combat will retain the franchise’s signature tactical, grid-based battles but introduce faster pacing, dynamic events, and richer battlefield interactions. Expanded faction abilities, new unit synergies, and an evolved strengths-and-weaknesses system promise deeper strategic depth.
