Delta Force Console Launch Set for August 2025, Season Break Update Lands This July
Team Jade has officially announced that Delta Force, its free-to-play first-person shooter, will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 19, 2025, marking a major expansion from its current PC and mobile platforms. Fans on console will soon be able to experience the full depth of tactical multiplayer and narrative content, including the single-player Black Hawk Down campaign, which will be available as free downloadable content at launch.
Season Break Update Arrives July 9, 2025
Ahead of the console release, Delta Force is set to receive its biggest update yet on July 9, 2025, for PC and mobile players. Titled the Season Break update, it brings a host of new features, gameplay enhancements, and maps that significantly expand the battlefield:
New Operations Map – Tide Prison: A high-tech island prison that begins with players posing as inmates and retrieving their gear from within enemy territory.
New Warfare Map – Cyclone: A tropical island hiding an ICBM missile site. This map introduces infantry and vehicle combat, enhanced by a dynamic weather system for unpredictable skirmishes.
New Operator – Tempest: A free unlock with the season battle pass. Tempest uses an exoskeletal mobility suit, giving her superior movement capabilities ideal for close-range combat scenarios.
Other additions include swimming mechanics, refinements to the Victory Unite game mode, and various performance optimizations and balance tweaks.
Wishlist Starts Tomorrow for Console Players
Console players eager to join the action can wishlist Delta Force starting June 28, 2025, on their platform’s store. Doing so will ensure they’re notified when the game becomes available for download on August 19. Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will have full access to all previously released content and the Black Hawk Down campaign upon launch.
Delta Force is shaping up to be a strong contender in the competitive FPS arena with its unique blend of tactical realism, dynamic weather systems, and integrated narrative experiences. The inclusion of both grounded warfare and high-octane movement abilities through operators like Tempest creates layered strategies for both casual and competitive players.
