Cyberpunk Action RPG NEO BERLIN 2087 Gets New Gamescom 2025 Trailer

Just in time for Gamescom 2025, Berlin-based developer Elysium Game Studio has released a brand-new trailer for its debut title, NEO BERLIN 2087. The upcoming action RPG blends first- and third-person perspectives in a cinematic cyberpunk setting, drawing heavy inspiration from Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell.

The story begins on a dark night in the German capital, now a cyberpunk metropolis shielded by towering walls that protect it from the devastated wasteland outside. After the brutal assassination of the city’s police chief, detective Nolan (voiced by Elias Toufexis, best known for portraying Adam Jensen in Deus Ex) is tasked with protecting the police chief’s daughter, Natalie. She may hold the key to solving her father’s murder and unraveling a conspiracy that threatens the entire city.

Nolan’s journey intertwines with Natalie’s resilience and independence, creating a volatile mix of trust, fear, and uncertainty. As their bond grows, they must face shadowy forces and confront their deepest fears, testing not only their survival but the fate of Berlin itself.

According to Elysium Game Studio, gameplay allows for extensive customization of Nolan’s abilities and weapons to suit player preferences. From high-intensity firefights to stealth-based infiltration, players can shape their own experience. The game combines shooter, stealth, and RPG mechanics while offering the freedom to explore both the sprawling neon city and the perilous wastelands filled with malfunctioning machines and hostile outcasts.

Powered by Unreal Engine technology, NEO BERLIN 2087 promises a visually rich, atmospheric world with fluid combat and branching approaches to missions. While a release date has not yet been announced, the game is confirmed for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Players can already wishlist the title on their preferred platform.

What playstyle will you choose in NEO BERLIN 2087, guns blazing, stealth in the shadows, or a mix of both?
