Cooler Master’s Custom GeForce RTX 5080 Is a Quad-Slot Beast With Modular Triple-Fan Design
Cooler Master has officially entered the custom RTX 50 series race with a mammoth of a graphics card—the GeForce RTX 5080, featuring an interchangeable triple-fan cooling design and an enormous quad-slot form factor. While the card is currently only available within pre-built PCs in China, its unique construction and cooling capability have caught the attention of enthusiasts worldwide.
Cooler Master's RTX 5080: A New Cooling Champion
First showcased at CES 2025, Cooler Master's massive take on the RTX 5080 clearly sets a new standard in terms of GPU scale and customization. This isn't just another triple-fan card—it's a quad-slot giant with a 90mm+ height, outclassing the likes of ASUS's ROG Astral and MSI’s SUPRIM SOC models which hover around 76mm.
The GPU is encased in a massive aluminum shroud, equipped with three oversized fans and a chunky metal backplate, exuding a premium, industrial aesthetic. It features a large rear cutout that aids in rear heat exhaust, contributing to improved thermal performance.
Fan Customization & Interchangeability
One of the standout features of Cooler Master’s RTX 5080 is its modular fan system. Users can swap out the included fans for other brands such as Noctua or Lian Li—something never-before-seen in a GPU at this scale. The fans are mounted with a tool-less design, making installation and removal incredibly simple.
Buyers can also choose between RGB and non-RGB configurations, catering to both aesthetic-forward and minimalist builders alike.

Connectivity and Power
In terms of output, the card offers a versatile five-display configuration:
2x HDMI
3x DisplayPort
Power is supplied through a single 16-pin connector, standard for the RTX 5080, though it’s clear this design is aimed at builders prioritizing thermal headroom and cooling stability, likely for overclocked systems or extended gaming sessions.
Availability & Global Outlook
As of now, the Cooler Master RTX 5080 is only bundled in high-end pre-built systems sold in China, with no standalone retail version available yet. However, its public appearance at CES 2025 and significant online buzz suggest that a global retail release could be imminent—especially as demand grows for powerful air-cooled custom variants in the RTX 50 family.
