Commandos: Origins Gets a Set Release Date of April 9

Kalypso Media and Claymore Game Studios have locked in April 9, 2025 as the official launch date for Commandos: Origins on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The price will be $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on current-gen consoles, though players can also try the game via Xbox Game Pass on both console and PC. Physical retail editions for all platforms, including a Windows PC version, will release May 22, priced at $49.99 and featuring content from the Deluxe Edition. For those still on last-gen hardware, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will arrive later in 2025.

In addition to the standard edition, Commandos: Origins – Deluxe Edition bundles:

  • Six Commando skins from Commandos 2

  • 3D printing template for the Green Beret

  • A digital Origins calendar

  • The Official Soundtrack

Players who pick up the Retail edition on May 22 will also get the Deluxe Edition content. According to Jürgen Reusswig (Studio Director, Claymore Game Studios), this marks the culmination of “over four years” of work, building a new studio, refining design and development, and integrating community feedback from playtests.

Co-op Gameplay & Classic Tactical Action

Maintaining the series’ hallmark tactical gameplay, Commandos: Origins supports 2-player co-op—both online and local split-screen. Fans can tackle missions solo or team up with a friend for an extra layer of strategic depth.
