ASUS Introduces ProArt PA32KCX, the World’s First 8K HDR Mini LED Monitor for Professionals
ASUS has officially introduced its newest flagship display, the ProArt PA32KCX, marking a significant milestone in professional-grade monitor technology. Announced in the company’s official press release, the PA32KCX is recognized as the world’s first 8K HDR Mini LED monitor, created specifically to meet the demands of professional color graders, video editors, and content creators who prioritize exceptional color accuracy and visual detail.
Unlike traditional gaming monitors, the ProArt PA32KCX is purpose-built for professionals who require absolute precision in their work. The display utilizes Mini LED backlighting with 4,032 local dimming zones, each capable of being individually brightened or dimmed to achieve outstanding contrast and true-to-life depth. This level of control is achieved through advanced Mini LED driver ICs that adjust brightness with remarkable accuracy across every dimming zone.
The monitor supports a range of HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10, providing rich, vibrant images with outstanding luminance performance. It can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and maintain 1,000 nits across the entire screen, ensuring consistent clarity even in bright working environments.
With a native 8K resolution of 7680 x 4320 on a 32-inch panel, the PA32KCX delivers an incredibly high pixel density of 275 pixels per inch, which is twice that of a standard 4K 32-inch display. This provides exceptional sharpness for text and visuals, resulting in greater detail and accuracy, essential for post-production work and high-end visual editing.
Color performance is another major highlight. The monitor supports 95 percent Adobe RGB, 97 percent DCI-P3, 100 percent sRGB, and 100 percent Rec.709 color spaces. Its true 10-bit color depth allows it to produce 1.07 billion colors, and it is factory pre-calibrated to achieve a color accuracy of Delta E less than 1. For ongoing precision, the PA32KCX includes a built-in motorized flip colorimeter for automatic recalibration and supports ASUS ProArt Calibration technology, allowing users to store color profiles directly on the internal scaler IC for consistent results across various devices and operating systems.
Connectivity options are extensive and modern. The monitor offers dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, and two HDMI 2.1 ports to support professional workflows and multi-device setups. One Thunderbolt 4 port provides 96 watts of power delivery, enabling users to charge laptops or mobile devices directly through the monitor, while the second Thunderbolt 4 port supports daisy-chaining for connecting multiple displays. A built-in KVM switch allows seamless control of multiple devices using a single keyboard and mouse, improving efficiency in multitasking environments.
ASUS has not yet disclosed the official pricing for the ProArt PA32KCX, but confirmed that it will be available through major retailers starting this month. Given its advanced technology and features, it is positioned as a top-tier professional display tailored for studios and creators who require uncompromising accuracy and performance.
The ASUS ProArt PA32KCX represents a major step forward in display innovation. By combining 8K resolution, HDR capability, and Mini LED technology, ASUS delivers a professional monitor that provides exceptional brightness, color precision, and connectivity, setting a new benchmark for professional visual production.
