ASRock Unveils Its First White Taichi Flagship With the X870E Taichi White for AM5 Builds

ASRock has officially introduced the X870E Taichi White, the first pure white motherboard in its flagship Taichi series. In its launch announcement, ASRock says the board combines a white PCB, white heatsinks, and white connectors with high end hardware, marking a clear break from the darker visual identity that has traditionally defined the Taichi lineup.

On the hardware side, ASRock lists a 24+2+1 phase, 110A SPS power design, which keeps it in the same flagship class as the existing X870E Taichi rather than turning it into a cosmetic variant only. The company also confirms dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, support for PCIe 5.0 on graphics and M.2 storage through its server grade low loss PCB design, 10GbE LAN, WiFi 7, and dual USB4 Type C 40Gbps ports.

ASRock also highlights DDR5 EXPO and XMP support, a 64MB BIOS ROM for future AM5 processor compatibility, and several enthusiast focused quality of life features such as Graphics Card EZ Release, a tool less M.2 heatsink design, and enlarged M.2 cooling hardware. The product page also notes an 8 layer PCB and 2 ounce copper inner layers, both aimed at signal integrity and power stability for higher end builds and memory overclocking.

From a connectivity standpoint, this is clearly a full featured halo AM5 board. ASRock specifically calls out Aquantia 10Gb/s Ethernet, WiFi 7 with Multi Link Operation, and front and rear high speed USB support, which positions the board as a premium option for workstation class networking, creator systems, and top end gaming rigs as much as for standard enthusiast use.

One detail needs a careful caveat: ASRock repeatedly says the board is designed to pair with the “AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition” processor. I could verify that wording on ASRock’s own news page, but I could not verify that CPU branding from AMD in the sources checked here, so it is safest to treat that specific processor name as ASRock’s published wording rather than independently confirmed AMD product naming. What is confirmed is that the board supports AM5 processors and is positioned for current and future high end Ryzen builds.

ASRock has not published pricing or a release date in the launch material I reviewed. Given the feature set, networking, power delivery, and positioning as a Taichi flagship, it is reasonable to expect premium pricing, but that part remains unannounced for now.

Would you take the white Taichi over the classic darker Taichi look for a flagship AM5 build?
