ARC Raiders Opens Pre-Orders and Announces Server Slam Event Ahead of October 30 Launch
Embark Studios has confirmed the release date for its third-person extraction shooter ARC Raiders, which will officially arrive on October 30, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with pre-orders now live in both Standard and Deluxe Editions. To ensure the servers are ready for launch, the studio will host a Server Slam event from Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19.
The Server Slam will allow players to experience the Dam Battlegrounds map and stress test the game’s online infrastructure before release. All participants will earn an exclusive Backpack cosmetic reward, which unlocks when the full game launches, provided the game has been purchased.
Executive Producer Aleksander Grøndal described the importance of this final large-scale playtest:
“We’re excited to welcome Raiders to the Server Slam. This is where we’ll really put ARC Raiders through its paces ahead of full launch. Our goal is simple: make sure that on October 30, when the servers go live, every player experiences the game exactly as we’ve intended, polished, balanced, and ready for action. ARC Raiders was first revealed at The Game Awards 2021 as a free-to-play cooperative shooter. Originally intended as the debut title for Embark Studios, its release was delayed and reimagined into a PvPvE extraction shooter. In the meantime, Embark launched its arena shooter The Finals, which quickly established itself as the studio’s first official release.
The transformation of ARC Raiders reflects both the challenges and opportunities in the highly competitive extraction shooter genre. While the market is crowded, early tests indicate that Embark’s title has the potential to succeed, offering unique mechanics and a strong sense of style.
