ARC Raiders Estimated to Have Sold Between 1.6 and 1.9 Million Units on Steam Alone
Embark Studios’ latest title, ARC Raiders, continues to build momentum after a strong launch, with early sales estimates suggesting the game has already sold between 1.6 and 1.9 million units on Steam alone. The third-person PvPvE extraction shooter has not only exceeded expectations in terms of player engagement but also outperformed the concurrent player peak of Embark’s previous success, The Finals, an impressive feat considering The Finals is a free-to-play title while ARC Raiders carries a $40 price tag.
During its launch weekend, ARC Raiders reached an estimated 354,000 concurrent players, placing it 38th on Steam’s all-time concurrent player chart. The figure highlights strong interest in the game’s unique blend of extraction shooter mechanics, cooperative objectives, and competitive encounters.
According to Gamalytic, the game has sold around 1.6 million copies, while VG Insights and PlayTracker estimate the total to be closer to 1.9 million units on Steam. Considering the game is also available on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, industry analysts believe the total sales figure across all platforms could be nearing three million units worldwide.
While the $40 entry price certainly helped make ARC Raiders more accessible, the sales numbers also reflect the game’s strong reception among shooter fans. Despite launching just weeks after Battlefield 6, which retailed at $70, ARC Raiders managed to carve out a sizable audience willing to invest in its distinct blend of PvPvE action.
Embark Studios has also shared its post-launch roadmap, outlining upcoming content updates and seasonal events. Later this month, players can expect:
A new map called Stella Montis
New Quests and gameplay items
New Arc Machines, including the Matriarch and Shredder
A community unlock event
In December, the game will receive additional content including:
More Quests and Raider deck options
The Snowfall map condition
A new event titled Flickering Flames
The Expedition departure window
Embark has also confirmed ongoing improvements such as new feats and trials, expanded map conditions, cosmetics, and quality-of-life updates, which will roll out gradually over time.
With a strong player base, steady content pipeline, and positive early sales performance, ARC Raiders has established itself as one of 2025’s most successful multiplayer launches, and a major milestone for Embark Studios.
Do you think ARC Raiders has what it takes to maintain its momentum and become one of the standout multiplayer hits of 2025?
