AOC Unveils New Lineup of Budget Gaming Monitors in the G42 Series, Boasting Fast IPS Panels and High Refresh Rates

AGON by AOC has introduced the G42 series, a range of new gaming monitors aimed at delivering high-refresh-rate action at 1080p resolution, all within a budget-friendly price bracket. The lineup features three models—the 24G42E, 25G42E, and 27G42E—combining Fast IPS panels with refresh rates up to 180 Hz to provide fluid gameplay for both immersive titles and competitive matches.

Affordable Monitors with Big Performance

Each G42 model boasts:

  • 1080p resolution

  • Fast IPS panels with a 1ms GtG or 0.5ms MPRT response time

  • Up to 180 Hz refresh rate for smooth, responsive visuals

  • HDR10 support and Adaptive Sync for an enhanced viewing experience

  • 90% DCI-P3 and 120% sRGB coverage for vibrant color reproduction

These monitors aim to balance cost-effectiveness with essential gaming features. According to César Acosta, Gaming Product Manager at AGON by AOC, the G42 series sets 180 Hz as the new baseline in its most affordable product range, reflecting the brand’s mission to make high-end gaming performance accessible to all. Despite their budget positioning, the G42 models include technologies such as Shadow Control, Gaming Color, and Motion Blur Reduction, accessible via each monitor’s OSD or through the G-Menu software.
