Airship Co Op Survival RPG Echoes of Elysium Locks In January 27, 2026 Early Access Launch
Loric Games has confirmed a new Early Access launch date for Echoes of Elysium, its airship themed cooperative survival RPG built around the idea that your ship is not just a vehicle, it is your home base in the sky. After a last minute delay from the original December 4 release plan, the studio has now set the Early Access debut for January 27, 2026, and also confirmed pricing at 19.99$, with a 10% discount during the first week.
In a statement, Brian Johnson, CEO and co founder of Loric Games, framed the Early Access strategy as a community first development play. The team is choosing to build the game openly with players rather than spending years developing in isolation, and they acknowledge that early adopters may encounter bugs while systems continue to evolve. The studio also positioned this approach as a two way commitment, with Loric aiming to reward players who jump in early and help shape Echoes of Elysium into a stronger survival RPG experience over time.
Alongside the date and pricing update, Loric Games also published a detailed development blog post on the game’s Steam page that reinforces what Early Access will mean in practice. The studio says the game’s systems and features are expected to change based on community feedback, which is a critical expectation to set for a survival sandbox with co op progression, where balance, pacing, and long term motivation often live or die on iteration quality.
On the polish front, Loric Games highlighted visible improvements to animations and combat. Animations have been smoothed out, and physics are now integrated across all player outfits, constructs, and flying constructs, aiming for more natural movement where details like skirts and capes trail fluidly. The team also shared that an animation import tool helped accelerate content creation, including new wrench attack animations, signaling a production pipeline upgrade that should support faster iteration through Early Access.
From a player and reviewer perspective, this is the kind of Early Access pitch that succeeds only if the studio executes on cadence and communication. The core fantasy of living aboard an airship can be a powerful differentiator in the survival RPG space, but long term retention will hinge on how satisfying the day to day loop feels, how progression respects co op time investment, and how quickly the team responds to feedback with tangible improvements.
Are you planning to jump in on January 27, 2026, or are you waiting to see how the Early Access roadmap and update cadence looks after launch?
