With GPU driver updates already rolling out in preparation for launch, the publisher is building anticipation for what is expected to be one of the year’s biggest releases.

The new trailer offers a cinematic showcase of Black Ops 7’s three main experiences, the campaign, multiplayer, and the return of Zombies mode, packed with intense action, dramatic story beats, and signature high-stakes visuals.

While the specs suggest reasonable scalability for most modern systems, many fans are still wondering how the game will perform on PC handhelds. On the official Call of Duty blog, Activision confirmed that Black Ops 7 will ship “fully tuned for supported PC handhelds, including the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.” The post adds that developers have optimized UI scaling, improved text readability, and balanced visuals to ensure smooth performance on smaller screens with native controller support.

However, the lack of concrete details regarding resolution targets or frame rate performance on these handhelds leaves room for uncertainty. With launch just days away, it remains to be seen whether players on devices like the ROG Ally X will enjoy a smooth, optimized experience or face performance challenges similar to other demanding AAA titles.

As the release date approaches, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 looks poised to deliver another intense entry in the franchise, blending large-scale cinematic storytelling with competitive multiplayer and the franchise’s iconic Zombies experience.
