Battlefield 6 Title Update 1.1.2.0 Goes Live with New Eastwood Map, Aim Assist Rollback, and Over 160 Fixes
Electronic Arts and DICE have deployed the massive Battlefield 6 Title Update 1.1.2.0 across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The patch delivers new content, gameplay refinements, and over 160 bug fixes, marking the beginning of the second phase of the game’s first season. The update also restores the game’s Aim Assist system to its widely praised Open Beta tuning, addressing one of the community’s most contentious topics since launch.
One of the headline additions is the introduction of the new Eastwood map, a battleground inspired by the open landscapes and rugged environments of Southern California. Eastwood includes multiple visual and gameplay variations and is available across all official game modes, adding a fresh and dynamic space for players to explore.
Alongside the new map, the update brings two new weapons to the arsenal: the DB-12 Shotgun and the M357 Trait Sidearm, expanding the game’s close quarters and tactical sidearm options. The update also adds backend support for Battle Pickups, a new feature designed to provide powerful, limited ammo weapons during select in game experiences. Once fully enabled, Battle Pickups will introduce short burst, high impact weapon moments reminiscent of earlier Battlefield entries.
The most celebrated change in this update is the rollback of Aim Assist to its Open Beta configuration. The version featured at launch had been a major point of criticism among console players, who argued that the tuning felt inconsistent and overly restrictive. By restoring the original Open Beta behavior, DICE aims to deliver a more responsive and intuitive aiming experience, returning to the feel that many players preferred.
But the rollback is just one part of a substantial update. Title Update 1.1.2.0 includes over 160 improvements and fixes. These include enhanced controller responsiveness through improved input latency and stick behavior, weapon accuracy tuning, refined gadget performance, vehicle adjustments, map polish, stability improvements, and multiple mode specific fixes. Players can find the complete breakdown of update changes through the official update notes.
Battlefield 6 launched last month across all current gen platforms and has been widely regarded as a marked improvement over its immediate predecessors. With seasonal content rolling out and community focused updates continuing to arrive, DICE appears committed to building momentum through consistent support and refinement.
